CINEMA AT SEA @ BADGAST NOV/DEC09
We started Cinema at Sea with the first program: Van wie is de zee? - To whom belongs the sea? The sea belongs to everyone and thus to no one - words that not only define the world's largest public space but also leave it unarticulated.
Screened during the 'Mare Liberum' event, 2009. (www.mareliberum.nu).
Satellietgroep start Cinema aan Zee in 2009 met het programma ‘Van wie is de zee?’.
De zee is van iedereen en daardoor van niemand. Daarmee is de grootste publieke ruimte ter wereld gedefinieerd en blijft tegelijkertijd ongearticuleerd. Vrije zee versus toe-eigening van zee en kust. Programma In het kader van de manifestatie Mare Liberum (Vrije Zee). Satellietgroep verzamelt en toont beelden die met name de sociale context van veranderingen aan zee tonen, in ondermeer stedenbouw en kunst en deze relateert aan lokale (bewoners)bijdragen. Het programma bestond uit vier thema’s en vier filmavonden:
deel 1: bouwplaats aan zee
deel 2: de sociale impact van surfen
deel 3: luisteren naar de zee
deel 4: nostalgie van de toekomst
Satellietgroep started Cinema at Sea in 2009 with the program ‘Van wie is de zee? - To whom belongs the sea?’. The sea belongs to everyone and thus to no one - words that not only define the world's largest public space but also leave it unarticulated. Screened during the 'Mare Liberum' event. Satellietgroep collected and screened 26 items, with contributions from local citizens and organisations, artists and urban planners.
The program consisted of 4 themes and 4 screening nights:
part 1: construction on the seaside
part 2: the social aspects of surfing
part 3: listening to the sea
part 4: nostalgia of the future
