Ahmet Öğüt: '‘Guppy 13 vs Ocean Wave, a Bas Jan Ader experience’ is a comment on the legendary and fatal project of the artist and adventurer Bas Jan Ader. In 1975 Ader, aged 33, attempted to cross the ocean as an art project, to never return again. Ahmet Öğüt has found a replica in Illinois, USA and shipped it to Amsterdam-Noord. He invites and challenges you to take a solo sail across the IJ from de Tolhuistuin to Central Station on the 28th, 29th and 30th of May.
