Artists collective Satellietgroep (The Hague, 2006) explotres the sea, coastal transitions, climate and the impact of manking on these processes, in past, present and future, in The Netherlands and abroad. You can also contribute to the activities of Satellietgroep! Spread the word or invite us for a presentation, research, collaboration or exchange project. Satellietgroep works also on commissions. Jacqueline Heerema (NL, 1958) is a Dutch conceptual artist, mediator and independent (sub)urban curator, studied Art and Environment at the Royal Academy of Art The Hague and Theoretical Museology at Leiden University. She is fascinated by the construction of time and changing perceptions of value systems, which we often take for granted. She enhances dialogues between the arts, sciences and society. As part of her artistic practice, she co-founded artists collective Satellietgroep in 2006 and is artist-curator since then.

Francois Lombarts (BE, 1981) is a designer, whose work focuses on physically experiencing, researching and defining the various aspects of public space. His research not only questions the nature and qualities of various urban environments but also lead to a focus on landscape and coastal related projects, such as ‘Sinking into the Landscape’ a physical performative research, investigating the essence of the polder, Haarlemmermeer. He is part of the curatorial team of Satellietgroep since 2015.

Lotte Bosman
Lotte Milene Bosman (NL, 1987) is a visual artist. Her work focuses on the shifting understanding of nature and landscape throughout time. Emphasizing the human role in nature is an important aspect of the work, whilst trying to maintain a playful approach towards the landscape. Bosman received her MFA in painting at Minerva Art Academy in 2012. Since 2015 Bosman is part of the team of artists collective Satellietgroep.

Previous co-curators of Satellietgroep:

Ronald Boer (NL,1981) studied landscape architecture (NL) and fine arts (UK), is independent researcher, educator and initiator of engaged public community based projects. For 5 years he ran and initiated multidisciplinary collective Placemakers, creating community gardens, a world restaurant and urban campsites. Currently he runs De Onkruidenier with artist/designer Jonmar van Vlijmen discovering the wild weeds in the urban fabric to be used as a valuable source. In his practice Boer pushes the boundaries discovering new and exciting relationships with the natural world that might have been lost or forgotten.Ronald was artist in residence at Badgast (2010). He is part of the curatorial team of Satellietgroep from 2011 - 2017.

Eliane Esther Bots (NL,1986) is independent filmmaker, professor at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht, has an extensive Eastern Europe network, was artist in residence at Badgast (2011) and was co-curator of Satellietgroep in 2011 - 2014.
